Installing your dodoesim takes about a minute. Choose the method that fits your situation.
Method 1 · Scan the QR code
When you buy from dodoesim, the QR code arrives in your email. Open the email on a second device — laptop, tablet, or someone else's phone.
- On iPhone: Settings → Cellular → Add eSIM.
- Tap "Use QR Code."
- Point the camera at the QR code on the other screen.
- iOS detects the plan. Tap Continue → Add Cellular Plan.
- Pick a label like "Travel" and set your default line.
Method 2 · Tap the install link
If you're reading the email on the same iPhone, just tap the "Install eSIM" button instead of scanning. iOS will ask permission, then walk you through the same screens.
Method 3 · Enter details manually
If both methods fail (rare): Settings → Cellular → Add eSIM → Enter Details Manually. The email contains an SM-DP+ address and an activation code.
Three iOS settings to flip
- Settings → Cellular → Cellular Data → pick your travel eSIM as the data line.
- Tap your home line → toggle Data Roaming OFF (this prevents accidental charges).
- Cellular → Data Mode → enable "Allow more data on 5G" if you want full 5G speeds.
