The Android install flow is slightly different per manufacturer, but the pattern is the same: scan, confirm, label, done.
Google Pixel (and stock Android)
- Open Settings → Network & internet → SIMs.
- Tap "+ Add eSIM" (or "Download a SIM instead").
- Tap "Use a QR code" and scan the code from your dodoesim email.
- Choose a label like "Travel" and confirm.
Samsung Galaxy
- Settings → Connections → SIM manager.
- Tap "Add eSIM."
- Choose "Scan QR code from service provider."
- Scan and follow the prompts.
Other Android brands
The exact menu names vary (OnePlus, Oppo, Xiaomi, Motorola, etc.), but you're always looking for: Settings → SIM (or Cellular) → Add eSIM. If you can't find it, search "eSIM" in your phone's Settings search bar.
Three Android settings to flip
- In SIM manager, set the travel eSIM as the Mobile Data SIM.
- On your home SIM, turn OFF "Data roaming" to prevent surprise charges.
- Enable 5G if the option is available (Network mode → 5G/LTE preferred).
