The Android install flow is slightly different per manufacturer, but the pattern is the same: scan, confirm, label, done.

Google Pixel (and stock Android)

  1. Open Settings → Network & internet → SIMs.
  2. Tap "+ Add eSIM" (or "Download a SIM instead").
  3. Tap "Use a QR code" and scan the code from your dodoesim email.
  4. Choose a label like "Travel" and confirm.

Samsung Galaxy

  1. Settings → Connections → SIM manager.
  2. Tap "Add eSIM."
  3. Choose "Scan QR code from service provider."
  4. Scan and follow the prompts.

Other Android brands

The exact menu names vary (OnePlus, Oppo, Xiaomi, Motorola, etc.), but you're always looking for: Settings → SIM (or Cellular) → Add eSIM. If you can't find it, search "eSIM" in your phone's Settings search bar.

Three Android settings to flip

  1. In SIM manager, set the travel eSIM as the Mobile Data SIM.
  2. On your home SIM, turn OFF "Data roaming" to prevent surprise charges.
  3. Enable 5G if the option is available (Network mode → 5G/LTE preferred).
